Materials

Gravel is most commonly used to seal heavy-traffic areas, and is excellent for reducing mud build-up. It’s also fire-retardant, making it ideal for farms and agricultural properties during summer.

Other materials ideal for laneways and tracks include:

• crushed rock – basalt rock packs well, with a cut allowing for good drainage
• crushed concrete for an environmentally friendly and cost-effective option.
